Welcome to SafeSun™ Foundation

SafeSun™ Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the prevention, early diagnosis, and treatment of malignant melanoma and other life threatening forms of cancer of the skin.  Our mission is to raise public awareness, beginning in early childhood years and continuing into adulthood, as well as linking state of the art skin cancer evaluation and care to those who cannot otherwise obtain it.

Raising Awareness to Protect Your Skin

SafeSun™ was established to address the unrelenting steady rise in the incidence of life threatening skin cancers.  We recognize the lack of adequate awareness of the dangers of sun exposure, and we collaborate with other organizations that support sun safety education from elementary school through high school. We are benefactors of institutions and groups that care for patients diagnosed with these cancers. Furthermore, our funds go to support research into the multiple innovative treatments being designed to treat these cancers.

Recipients of funds raised by SafeSun™ have included The Milagro Center, Pap Corps, JAFCO, Junior League of Boca Raton, The Dermatology Clinic at the Caridad Center of the Palm Beaches, Melanoma Research at Moffitt Cancer Institute,  Lynn Cancer Institute’s League of Ribbons, The Florence Fuller Child Development Centers, Boca West Children’s Foundation, Special Compass Power Buddies, Boca Raton High School Swim Team, Richard David Kann Melanoma Foundation of the Palm Beaches, Kindness Matters 365, Cancer Alliance of Health and Hope, The Melanoma Foundation of New England, Dermatology Medical Missions, AVDA and SOS Children’s Village. To date, $538,500.00 has been donated from SafeSun™ to keep our community safe in the sun!
